Meet The Bull | BullTrained Wrestling and Mixed Martial Arts

Toughest Camp In America

12 Days: Raise wrestling IQ and gain “The Bull” Mentality to be part of the 1%

This camp will be broken down into 4 parts; top, bottom, counter-offense/leg defense, and hand-fighting/take-downs.

This camp isn’t fancy moves, its high-level fundamentals, tactics, mat awareness, mindsets, and positional wrestling that wins matches.

Henson went 71-0 in college winning 2 NCAA Championships, made the Olympic team, took 2nd at the Olympics in Australia, then came back and beat the guy to become a World Champion.

This is great because his first-hand experience provides a system to your athlete that will work in freestyle and folkstyle.

Learn to get out from bottom and I don’t mean rolling around. Learn how to not give up wrists, how to come to your feet, and how to use the rules to your advantage. Learn how to ride tough on top and use legs in a way that puts points on the board, not create a stalemate. Learn to abandon having a defense and gain a counter-offense by using your hands right and learning footwork that will make you faster, helping you to score more just by running corner. Learn a world-class leg defense that flows with your counter-offense, this will start to open up your athletes’ counter-attacks.

Henson finishes off the camp by teaching his hard and heavy hand-fighting skills that forced his opponent to wrestle his match. This opened his opposition up so he could better see his takedowns. In this portion, Coach Henson teaches athletes about higher percentage/low-risk takedown finishes that stop people from being able to scramble. 

Camp Goals + Outcomes

Two or three Groups of 12 competing/challenging each other to reach the next level. Coach Sammie Henson will teach all sessions with the support of the other two coaches breaking it down to ensure a one-on-one experience.

This is a highly competitive environment.

*We have availability to house five female athletes. 

Requirements & Expectations

  • Female athletes must commute to camp or secure limited overnight option available off campus. Extra housing fee applies, a female house mom will provide care.
  • Wrestling Gear (wrestling shoes, running shoes, head gear, knee pads, etc)
  • Notepad (for note taking during instruction, skills learned, etc)
  • Toiletries (towel, soap, shampoo, toothbrush/toothpaste)
  • Sleeping Bag, Pillow and an Air Mattress
  • Camp participants are required to have primary health insurance
  • Camp participants must have signed the Camp Release, Medical and Parent’s Waiver forms (included in the form during checkout)
  • Camp participants must possess a USA Wrestling card, available on line at www.themat.com

    • 6:00pm – 7:30pm – Session I
    • 9:30pm – Camp Store
    • 10:30pm – Lights Out
    June 18th  – 27th
    • 9:30am – Breakfast
    • 10:30am – 12:15pm – Session I
    • 12:15pm – Lunch
    • 2:30pm – 3:45pm – Session II
    • 3:45pm – Refuel
    • 4:15pm – 5:30pm – Session III
    • 5:30pm – Dinner
    • 6:00pm – Free Time / Camp Store
    • 10:00pm – Lights Out
    June 28th, Saturday
    • 9:00AM – 10:30AM – Breakfast Celebration! Live Wrestling Session *Parents encouraged to attend this final session to witness the gains of their wrestler IQ in the sport of wrestling as well as the Bull Mentality.
    • 11:00am – Check out – Depart

    Food + Accommodations

    • Showering is required after every session, showers are located on the premises.
    • Laundry is washed and dryed daily.
    • Three meals per day are provided for all overnight campers.
    • Athletes should bring their own snacks and drinks
    • Bring swim suites and fishing poles
    • BullTrained gear should be ordered via our gear store located in the menu.
      * Commuters must bring their own food.

    TRAVEL PLANS

    Dirty Dozen Wrestlers Flight Plans 

    Booking a flight with the following dates and location will ensure that your wrestler will arrive to camp safely and on time. Please also note that if you check-in the day before camp starts, or depart the day after, there will be a daily charge of $80.00.

    The following flight departure times are mandatory. If you have a special circumstance that requires an earlier flight, you must call us for approval at 918.570.1239.

    Arrival

    • Flights should arrive to Atlanta, GA International (ATL) or Greenville Spartanburg, SC (GSP)
    • Camp check in is at 5:30pm June 17th, 2025.

    Departure

    • Flights should depart from ATL or GSP airport on the day of check-out.
    • Camp is over at 11:00am on June 28, 2025.

    Please text us at 918.570.1239 to schedule a private chaperone that will provide transportation to and from the ATL or GSP airport. Please include the athletes first and last name, their itineraries, and the email used to register the athlete for camp.

    • The cost is $400.00 round trip if your airlines require someone to come inside and sign for your athlete.
    • The cost is $300.00 round trip if we meet your athlete at badge claim.

          Parents + Coaches

    • Parents and coaches are encouraged to attend last session.
    • During a session we do not allow parents to attend, as we want wrestlers to not have anyone looking over their shoulders! The goal is to learn how to compete on their own in a competitive environment.
    • Taking pictures during the sessions is allowed, but no video taping please.
    • spots are limited, there are no refunds.
